7 Principles for New Hope

1

Israel is Jewish and Democratic

New Hope will preserve Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people and a democratic state.

2

Fortifying National Strengths

New Hope will preserve Israel’s national security and develop Israel’s components of power – military, economic, technological, research and immigration to Israel.

3

Uniting Israel

New Hope will work for the unity of Israel – a value and component of our national strength: improving cooperation, healing social rifts and divides, moving away from divisive rhetoric and towards connection in all sectors of Israel.

4

Rehabilitating the Economy

New Hope will encourage a free economy, support small businesses and the self-employed, fight bureaucracy, restore economic stability, create jobs and work for equal opportunities for all citizens.

5

Launching the Education System

New Hope will place education as a central issue and will set a target to ensure Israel is amongst the top countries in the world in education. We will strive to elevate the status of teachers and educators to the highest levels in society and will grant broad autonomy to schools, their principals and educators. Special emphasis will be given to early childhood education.

6

Strengthening the Health System

New Hope will strengthen the medical system and hospitals in Israel, increasing resources with an emphasis on the standards of doctors and nurses, equipment, instruments and beds in hospitals, while providing effective and accessible medical care to all Israeli citizens.

7

Promoting Judicial and Governmental Reforms

New Hope will advance reforms in the systems of government: enact the principle of term limits, promote vital reforms in the judicial and law enforcement systems, in the system of government and elections and work to significantly improve the capabilities of the public sector and the services it provides to the citizens of Israel.
